We respect your right to control your data. This page explains what data Kharcha Book stores and how you can delete it.
How Your Data Is Stored
Most of the information you enter in Kharcha Book — such as your income and expense entries, amounts, categories, notes, currencies, and Khata book names — is stored locally on your device. We do not keep a copy of this content on our servers unless you use an optional feature (such as backup, sync, or sharing) that requires it.
Option 1: Delete Data Yourself (On-Device)
Because your records are stored on your device, you can remove them directly:
- Open Kharcha Book.
- Delete individual entries, categories, or Khata books from within the app, or
- Clear all app data: go to your phone’s Settings → Apps → Kharcha Book → Storage → Clear Data, or
- Uninstall the app, which removes all locally stored data from your device.
Option 2: Request Deletion of Data We Hold
If you have used an account, backup, sync, or sharing feature, or you simply want to make sure any data associated with you is removed from our systems, you can send us a request.

Please include the following so we can locate and verify your request:
- The app name: Kharcha Book
- The email address or account associated with your data (if any)
- A short description of what you would like deleted (for example, “delete my account and all associated data”)
We will process your request within a reasonable time, and in any case in accordance with applicable data-protection laws. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request, and we may retain limited information where required by law.

Certain records may be retained for a limited period where necessary to comply with legal, accounting, or security obligations.
